Of course we needed hair accessories to go with the new outfits (seen HERE). I tried to sway the girls towards something using the fabric from the skirt, but no. They picked the star garland. I guess they wanted a little more bling than plain ole fabric.
So how to make a festive 4th of July hairbow?? Grab a 5 year old and some red/white/blue star garland stuff and let her at it. It is wirey and holds it shape, so she just bent it into loops, etc. Then I took the tail and wound her loops together and then wound it around a clip. ReplyDeleteMandy, that hair clip is adorable! I'm an editor at FaveCrafts and we just posted a project idea on embellishing your child's shoes for the 4th: http://www.favecrafts.com/Fourth-of-July/4th-of-July-Shoes-from-Kreinik

How very cute and fun, and easy!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a fun clip!!! So festive!
ReplyDeleteI love that she got to 'design' it herself! Don't think my almost-3 grandson would go for it. He's very distinctive right now about what's for boys and what's for girls. Hey, wait! He'd love it in my hair, though!
ReplyDeleteWould love for you to stop by Thursday & link it up to Fab Finds for the Fourth.
I adore your patriotic spirit. It is red, white and bluetiful!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll stop by for my bbq on an Anthropologie inspired white tablecloth. :)
