There are lots of great ideas out there for Father's Day Shirts. Here's one I got from a friend several years ago. But my kids' hands have grown and another has joined our family since the last shirt we made, so today I made a replacement shirt. I used my embroidery machine for the words, but you could easily paint them on.
Front: "my DAD deserves a pat on the back"
Back: handprint of each child (using fabric paint) - on the last shirt I labeled the hands, this time I didn't
(I had to use the grill as a photo prop - it seemed like a "manly" thing to use)
And the cutest part, the hands - the kids enjoyed participating in lending a hand to make the shirt (yes, pun intended) and LOVE when their Dad wears the shirt - they're so proud!

What a lovely idea; it combines the tradition of a clay handprint with the practicality of a t-shirt.
