Embracing Hair

I've been trying to talk my 6 year old into cutting her hair into a bob for the last 6 months - but she loves it long.  Recently I discovered the blog The Story of A Princess and Her Hair and I thought, alright, let's just embrace this long-hair lifestyle.  And this year our church starts at 11am instead of 9am, so we've got nothing but time for fancy hairdos.  I pulled up the gallery and let each girl pick something - this one went with the basket weave.  Big impact, little effort - perfect.  I know we'll be doing some sort of heart-do (like this one) several times this month....
I love blogland and how I can just copy everyone's ideas instead of having to come up with something on my own!

It looks beautiful! Wish mine would let me do something with hers. Lately she just wants it straightened or curled and put in barrettes or a headband.

Oh so pretty. My 5 year old won't let me do anything with hers. Hopefully one day we can try fun hair again.

Oh wow, you are the coolest mom ever! I wish my mom would have done my hair like that for me when I was little. That's gorgeous work! ;o)

we just did her basket weave hairdo last week I think. I love that site! Her blog is great. I just let my daughter pick something too and go at it. I usually do her hair right out of the tub while watching a movie/cartoon online. It's the best! Lots of them last more than a day too. Which this pregnant mommy LOVES!

I love it. I wish I had known about this blog before we had already decided how to do Marie-Eve's hair for a wedding next week. These are super cute hair styles.

Holy cow! I can't wait until my daughters hair is long enough to do that with! That is just delightful! I love things that look like you spent a ton of time on them when in reality, it took very little time.

WOW! So cute! How did you get her to stay still for you to do that? :) Love it.
