I don't know what it is, but I feel like I deserve a new swimsuit each year. But I'm pretty much the same size as the year before. So I have quite the swimwear collection. Since that's all I wore last week, at our visit to Lake of the Ozarks, I thought I might as well show you a few....
First off, no matter how fabulous the swimsuit, nothing is flattering when it's wet! Here I am after climbing out of the lake - - I bought this swimsuit from ModBe on super clearance end of the season last year - I think it was $15? ($10 top, $5 bottoms) or so - - online I thought it was kinda ugly but the price was right, but in person I really like it's wild ways - currently one of my favorite suits!
Here's the suit I got from Harapi Swimwear - it's out of my comfort zone because I don't really like the color red and would normally never pick it - - but something about the red polka dots I really love... not that you can see the suit that great since I'm wearing my AWESOME new coverup my friend Brianne got me - she was wearing one so I quizzed her down about where it came from (Walmart - really!) and next thing I know, she picked one up for me - wahoo!
And here's from a pool birthday party we were at the other day - Trevor snapped one on his phone. It's my DownEast Suit - I'm still loving it even though I've had it a few years - -
So if you can't tell, I lean towards the tankini, halter neck (I think it's the most flattering for the non-existent bust), bright colors.
So, what about you?? - do you unnecessarily get a new suit every year? Do you have a style that you love??
And, just to show off - - - one of the few things I can do that Trevor can't - - salem waterski - I love showing him up!!

ReplyDeleteI've had the same suit for years and I don't necessarily love it but target suits are so tiny and I've had bad experiences buying online.
ReplyDeleteI also feel the need to get a suit every year, glad I'm not the only one. I bought a "mom suit" this year aka tankini and I'm just not feeling it. I'm going back to my regular bikinis for now for as long as I can. Thanks for sharing, you look great!
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful. I would never be brave enough to post photos of myself in a bathing suit. I am just a little too overweight. I used to slalom waterski. We haven't been waterskiing in years though, I doubt I could still do it.

I do! I do! I DO get a new suit every year! Why is that??? This year has been very hard. I'm not fitting into any of the suits I used to love. I have not purchased a new suit yet this year...Boo! However, I DO have the same coverup from WM and I Luff it! Great post!

ReplyDeleteCute cute cute! I really like that DownEast one! I also tend towards the tankini/halter tops- I have one with boyshorts (which I love for my short, more muscular frame). This year I bought one with a skirt bottom and I love that one too! Thanks for being brave and sharing!
