THRIVE - review and GIVEAWAY!

Yes, it's still TAke-A-Look Tuesday, and it's going strong! Just scroll down a post to check it out....

I just had to bust on here for a giveaway you won't want to miss - - - have you heard of THRIVE?

Some background:
Shelf Reliance offers a line of great tasting food that redefines how people think about the nutrition, convenience, cost, and longevity of the food we eat. THRIVE offers the highest quality products for the best value. Our THRIVE foods are so easy to cook with and you will enjoy the convenience of having so many healthy choices right at your fingertips.
Most of THRIVE products have a sealed shelf life of 10-25 years and an opened shelf life of 6 months-2 years. I LOVE that I can use THRIVE products right out of the can. It SAVES me so much TIME! I can skip preparation steps like chopping veggies, defrosting, and browning meat. The THRIVE food line consists of the same foods you would purchase at the market, only with THRIVE you don't have to dash to the store every time you run out of the essential ingredients.

Shelli is an independent consultant for THRIVE and has set up a super blog, Everyday Food Made Simple.

She also sent us several things to try out.  My kids are CRAZY for the fruit - they love it in its dehydrated form - such a great snack!  We tried Mangos, Pineapple, Strawberries, Yogurt, and Raspberries - - my favorite was the zing of the pineapple - the kids loved it all!  More info: It's a great snacking solution...because there are NO additives and preservatives in our Freeze dried products.
We were also able to make Chicken Salad - with dried onions, chicken, and celery.  Just add water and simmer for about 10 minutes and it was done.
After it was done, I just stirred in some mayo and salt and pepper.
I filled Cream Puffs with the Chicken Salad - - I would have never guessed that the food was freeze-dried if I hadn't had made it myself.

We also tried the peas and corn - - look at it - looks just like regular veggies, right??  Would you have guess that they were freeze dried??
