To start I used the letterpress feature of my Epic 6 from Lifestyle Crafts. (SPOILER ALERT - there's a great deal at the bottom of this post, so keep reading) It's super fun and makes it look I can do super fancy things - but it's so easy! Basically instead of using a die cut to cut out an image, it uses a plate thing and just presses the image into thick paper. It's called embossing. But then I covered the embossing plate with ink so while it pressed the image in it also prints the ink onto it.
What I used:
Inking it up:
Rolling it through:
See - looks awesome, right?!?
Then I also cut some paper with the boarders strips that I have. Loading up the machine - you put the dies on first, then paper over them:
Then a clear cutting mat on top:
Then just hand crank the whole sandwich through the machine:
So then we used some of the border dies, and cut the letterpressed paper into strips, and had fun creating:
Here's a glimpse of what we came up with:
Then I ran them through the laminating machine I am borrowing from my mom - it makes me want to laminate everything in sight (including a drawing by my 3 year old - didn't he do great?!)!
And now they're ready to use!!
I'm a little late to inform you, but those border dies that we used - - they're on sale!! til Sunday, so hurry...
They're on sale for 20% off, then if you use the code SUGARBEE you get another 20% off - so 40% off - that's an incredible deal!! Check out the Border Dies!! They have so much potential!
