WIWW - back!

I'm trying to get back in the groove it's been a crazy couple of months, but I told myself yesterday that it's time to get back to real life! Time to try to make the effort to wear something presentable at least a couple times a week....

And you're probably excited that it's garage sale season again, so I can buy people's discarded clothes and convince myself they might still be fashionable - here we go....

You know it's going to be a good outfit when my mom sees me and says "what in the world are you wearing?!?!" I got this sweater/dress/tunic shirt thing for $1 at a garage sale.  It was comfy and I like it, so even if you think it's awful I will probably keep it....the jewelry is from Paparazzi (which you know I love)
The shoes are a result of a personal shopper.  Don't your friends all know what you're looking for - like I know to keep my eye out for certain things that certain people want from garage sales.  I was "running" in a race Saturday so I missed all the garage sales but a friend knew I was on the lookout for yellow shoes and snagged them for me - score!  My kind of shopping - they just appeared at my doorstep.  Well worth the $2 - they're about a half size too big, but who cares!

Next up, I know "color blocking" is all the rage, so I tried color blocking with accessories - turquoise hair clip, orange earrings, yellow shirt - I'm not sure I love it, but I gave it a go, so points for effort.

And lastly this week, the outfit I wore on my second TV segment.  Last month I agonized over my outfit, planned it out perfectly, etc.  This time I just threw something on - I just knew it needed to be a v-neck because the craft I was showing on air was to make glass tile pendants so I needed to wear mine.  Anyways, the outfit was alright, but nothing wow.  The cardigan has white sequins on it so it's a little more "fun" and a little less frumpy in real life...and I wore the shoes no one but me likes, but you couldn't see them so it didn't matter....
So, let's hear it - - thoughts on any of the outfits?? Different ways I should try to accessorize??  I'm all about implementing your suggestions!!

  10. Love the yellow shoes! If they feel slightly too big just pop some insoles into them -t hey help take up some of the room and create a better fit. Plus they add comfort - win!

  12. What the "sweater dress" didn't have was the 'tie' that was in it when I saw it. It's not a dress but a blouson top.
