I recently received some super fun paper with the challenge to create something for back-to-school. I love a challenge!!! The paper from AstroBrights papers was so fun and bright, I thought it’d make an awesome photo backdrop – so that’s what I made…that paper is all about Creativity and Getting noticed – perfect!! Paper Photo Background Tutorial
And I’m here with a quick tutorial on how to make the backdrop. It’s pretty easy to make and has a huge visual impact. First grab some super bright paper.
Paper Cutting Instructions
Cut the paper in half longwise. Then cut into it about 1 inch apart, just not completely to the edge – you can see what I mean in the picture below:
Then from the other side, repeat but cut in between the cuts you already made – – see the picture below:
But cutting it that way, it makes the paper zig-zaggy – when you pick up the end you can see it…
Creating a Paper Backdrop
You’ll need lots and lots of zig zag strips cut and ready. Then staple the strips onto a board…
Then I clipped it to my makeshift backdrop – –
And took some pictures – so fun!! Here’s an idea of using a mini-chalkboard…
I kind of wish I would have hung it just a bit lower on the background so it went all the way to the ground, but the sitting shot is still cute:
What could you make with AstroBrights papers? And with back-to-school on the realm, possibilities are endless, a photo background is just the beginning!
