WIWW - with DownEast - and a giveaway

Hello everyone - special edition of What I Wore Wednesday (yes, with a giveaway!)- I want to tell you about DownEast Basics.  If I had to pick one clothing store to shop at, it would be the one.  I think the majority of my clothing comes from them or a garage sale.  Their clothes are cute and stylish, but yet still affordable and modest.    I've said it before, but I want to reiterate - I love DownEast Basics!
I don't even live by one - I just shop them online.  And love getting their catalog in the mail.

Anyways, have you see the new arrivals?  I have a few they sent me to showcase for you.  I like being able to see clothes on real people instead of models, so I hope that's helpful for you too.

First up, this Color Spectrum Top - it is a little out of my comfort zone, but I wanted to push myself a little.  And it turns out I really like it - the material is soft and light-weight and has the right amount of flow.
Can you spot the spraypaint on my fingers?!?

Next up, the Sweet Thing Cardi and Fundamentals Skirt - I love that you can mix and match items from their line that don't coordinate but still go together like these two.  I think it's a great color scheme for fall.  The top is lightweight and adds a great pop of color, and the skirt was super comfy and even has pockets.  I got several compliments on this outfit when I wore it to church:
And I think the two items can be stand-alone as well.  Here's the skirt paired with a plain white shirt (also DownEast, I bought last season) and the cardigan with jeans:

And just a quick look-back, I bought myself this Something Treasured Skirt and top a few weeks ago - the skirt is still in the new arrivals - I love it and the detailed ruching on the side.

And some random exciting info, 3 days left to enter the DownEast Basics Pinterest $500 Fall Fashion contest (ends Aug 31)! More details at: http://bit.ly/O7vkYN

Today I have a quick mid-week giveaway from DownEast - wahoo!!  You have the chance to win one item of your choice from their New Arrivals.

To enter, do one or both of the following (winner must have a US shipping address):
--Visit DownEast Basics New Arrivals and let me know in the comments which item you would pick if you won.
--Pin your favorite New Arrival item via Pinterest and leave a comment saying you did so.

Good Luck!  Quick turnaround time - giveaway ends Friday, Aug 31st, around noon.
