more on this look after the break....
I think it's a great way to get a totally different look. I bought the dress as a Christmas Dress (from eShakti - you know I love them), but I think with the aqua it doesn't say Holiday as much. I can't find a picture of just me in the dress in Holiday Mode, but you can see it in our family picture:

And that aqua cardigan gets plenty of use - I think the hand-stamped hearts makes it more fun and the "crafty" in me loves to wear something that I've crafted. I wore this to take a picture for the tutorial post, but I plan to wear it again for Valentine's Day:
I got those jeans at Goodwill Outlet - I didn't have a "distressed" pair, so I went for it (and plus, when clothes are $0.79 a pound, I can't say no!) and I'm really liking them. The coral bow belt is from One Little Belt (when you know a kid belt maker, you can get one in small adult size - bonus!) - nothing cuter than a baby in a belt, so check out her shop.
Do you plan outfits around holidays??

This is so pretty and looks great on you...I've followed you for awhile but had to start my blog all over...would love for you to follow back:www.folkartbythreedawgladydesigns.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThat is such a darling cardigan, and I love it paired with the red dress. Such an unexpected look, but still super appropriate for Valentine's!
ReplyDeleteYou know, Mandy, sometimes I do plan outfits around holidays. Primarily the winter holidays...Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years. I always wear something special. Valentines, not so much. Hubby's taking me for a romantic night out to see Die Hard (LOL)...I'll wear something with jeans. Don't own pink. Red may work.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day! ♥

I love your DIY cardigan....I need to make one...or five!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit in love with both those pieces. The aqua looks so good on the red and they look so great on their own!
ReplyDeletethe aqua looks surprisingly awesome with the red. Good choice!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress and the cute sweater! The hearts are sweet, without being over-kill. I love it!
ReplyDeleteMy Valentine's wardrobe will be as follows: scour laundry for something red and clean. The end. =)
Love all of these outfits!
ReplyDeleteI really love it with the leopard print flats!! Definitely adds a little interest!
