I don't have a ton of before pictures, because we just jumped right in. Just know that there was dark wallpaper everywhere, and teal carpet! (nothings says awesome quite like vacuuming around a toilet *shudder*). And what "before" pictures I do have aren't great because I couldn't back out. But in the meantime I got a new wide-angle lens which is awesome and helps show you the whole room.
Removing the wallpaper I wanted to go the completely opposite direction and chose plain white for the walls. Which is a little out of character, but I really love how clean and big and open it makes the room feel.

We were able to do this on quite the budget - it was a mini-makeover for sure. But we did splurge a little on the flooring - I loved these oversized tiles and Trevor did a great job installing them:
