Monogrammed Burlap Art {home decor contributor}

Hello again Sugar Bee readers!  It’s Ariean from OneKriegerChick here to share an easy and interchangeable Monogram Burlap Art…  Burlap-Art-with-changable-monogramSo I’m all about monograms…You can never have too many, right?!

This is such a simple project…and you can change it out if you get tired of the color or the monogram…

Let’s start with the base…a burlap canvas (found at Hobby Lobby 50% off), paint in your choice of color, a circle shape, and a paintbrush. supplies-for-burlap-monogram-art   I used a polka dot stencil, but you could easily trace around any circular shape. (biscuit cutter, drinking glass, coffee cup, etc.) I placed the stencil where I wanted it and secured it with a piece of painters tape. stencil-polkadot-burlap-monogramThen, I painted each dot with metallic champagne paint, moving the tape as needed. painting-metallic-polka-dots     All done…Honestly, I like how it looks just like this, but I am a sucker for polka dots!Stenciled-polka-dots-burlap-canvas   Now to add a pop of color…and a Monogram… The absolute easiest way to create the monogram would be to cut out the letter with a cutting machine like a cricut or silhouette.  Not everyone has a machine, so I’ll show you how you can achieve the same look without a fancy machine.    How-to-make-a-monogram-without-a-machine On the computer, print off a letter in the size just a little smaller than the canvas.  (I used Word)  Cut out the letter and trace it onto a piece of heavy cardstock.  Then, cut the letter out of cardstock.  To give the letter a less paper-like look and some dimension, rub a piece of fine sandpaper over the edges.  Adhere to the burlap canvas using foam tabs, so the monogram “pops.”  adhering-changable-monogram   Easy Monogram Art  Like this idea?  You might also like my Button Monogram Art or Initial TeeMonogram posts   Love to have you stop by OneKriegerChick sometime…Have a fabulous weekend!
