I tend to craft in waves, and right now I’m on a vinyl kick – I love heat transfer vinyl (the kind you iron on to fabric) and have been making a bunch of things with it. You probably already know, but I’m a rep with Paparazzi Accessories (seriously a great decision I made – if you’re looking to make a little extra $$, this could be your thing! just email me and I can talk details… email@example.com) – recently we had a rockin’ convention, and I wanted to make a small gift for those on my team. I settled on zipper pouches, because no one can ever get too many zipper pouches!
The convention was awesome, as you can imagine (I’ll probably do a recap post soon), including several themed parties…
But anyways, back to the pouches….
I found some online where I could order in bulk, but of course I had to do something crafty to them, so I used vinyl to put the Paparazzi logo on them – I just love how they turned out!
To do this, I had a logo on hand and then I just “traced” it with my Silhouette software. I stocked up on pink vinyl from Expressions Vinyl (where I order all my vinyl! affiliate link, but I love love love them). Then I just cut it out, weeded the excess, and ironed it on all the bags. (And it made me REALLY want a heat press – which I just got! so I’ll try that out and let you know what I think of it).
I grabbed a few bigger, cross-body zippper bags too, for my roommates at convention.
So if you’re in need of a custom gift idea for a team, you can totally go DIY and make it yourself. I wouldn’t attempt to sew that many zipper bags, so ordering them and then just adding the vinyl was the perfect solution.
