THIS IS A SPONSORED POST IN COLLABORATION WITH WAVERLY INSPIRATIONS AS PART OF THEIR BLOGGER TEAM
Your Valentine’s crafting isn’t complete unless you’ve made a Valentine Wreath, right?! Today I want to show you this super simple Tied Heart Wreath – it’ll come together in no time, and all you need is a wreath form and fabric – so easy!
I love how it turned out – isn’t that pink gingham fabric what dreams are made of?! It’s so perfect – it’s part of the Waverly Inspirations line at Walmart – yes! So run and grab some for yourself – I know I’ll be grabbing more soon!

Let’s jump right in to the tutorial!
Tied Heart Wreath
you’ll need:
–smooth round heart wreath form (mine is from Make It Fun) – – you can buy it here: http://amzn.to/2k3cgCE (affil. link)
–fabric (mine is from Waverly Inspirations)
–ribbon for hanging (also from Waverly Inspirations)
I almost mixed a bunch of fabrics, but last minute I decided to do an all-gingham wreath. You can go either way – I think both are way cute ideas!
VIDEO TUTORIAL
Yep, for all you that love watching how something is made, I put together a Video Tutorial for this project, wahoo! If you would rather learn through a regular tutorial, keep scrolling on down, I have that too!
First up, you’re going to rip your fabric into 1 inch strips. Fold those strips into fourths lengthwise and cut them – so you’re getting 4 smaller strips of fabric out of every long strip that you ripped. I think I used about half a yard of fabric.
Next, you’re going to tie those strips onto your wreath – it goes so fast! Fold your fabric strip in half and place it under the wreath, with the folded side on the outside edge, as shown:
Then reach through the loop part and grab the tail ends, over the wreath, as shown:
Pull those tails through the loop:
And voila!! Once you do it a time or two, you’ll really get moving fast on them.
Then just keep repeating, adding ties all along the wreath:
You’ll probably need a slightly longer strip for the point areas of the heart – they take more fabric to wrap around.
You can see how fun the knots are lining the side of the wreath:
And that’s really all there is to it!! You can make a loop with ribbon and hot glue it to the back so that the wreath will hang. That’s it! So cute, and so easy to make!
Have you ever made a wreath using this tie method before??
Have fun giving it a try!

That came out so cute!
A couple of years ago I used a similar technique to make a Christmas Wreath for my door. I used a circle metal ring from the craft store and looped green and red ribbons all around the edge. The metal let the ribbons glide easily I really packed them in.
Super easy and looks like it’s really hard, which is the best kind of craft, right?
Susan recently posted…Super easy hummus
I bet that looked awesome!!
How much fabric should I buy?
It will depend on how big of heart wreath form you have – I think I used about 1/2 yard of fabric. You could get 1 yard of fabric to be safe!
