Hi, I'm Mandy!
I love all things crafty and blogging.  The best part is inspiring you to try out something crafty yourself.  I blog from the Kansas City area, have been married for 12 years and have 4 amazing kiddos, ages 10, 8, 6, and 4.

Please add my Google profile to your circles!  You can also follow me on Twitter and Facebook and Instagram.

More Details:

I grew up in the midwest near Kansas City, went to college in Joplin MO, graduated (in 3.5 years - I like to speed through things) with a BS in Sociology.  I worked for the State of Kansas for a couple of years while my husband finished school and then turned the working-to-support-the-family over to him.

I met Trevor my freshman year in college on a blind date (we were both 18 - so young!) and we dated for about a year - he went on a 2 year mission for our church and when he got back I was still around.  We were married 11 years ago in May.  If that story is what you're after, you can check out the following:
Our Love Story - by me
Our Love Story - by Trevor

After he graduated we moved to Wichita, KS where we lived for about 5 years.  We loved our town and friends, but had a goal to move back closer to family - so we did.

We've lived back in the Kansas City area for about 4 years now - we love being close to family and the new friends we've made here.  Our kids get to grow up around cousins and enjoying monthly sleepovers at their Grandparents'.

If you haven't noticed, I love crafty things.  I have a craft blog, which I also love.  I enjoy it all!  If you would like to know more about how Sugar Bee Crafts came to be, read About The Blog.

Some other players on this blog:

Trevor - I always feel weird referring to "my husband" so now you know, he's Trevor.  He's amazing.  He puts up with the crafting craziness and even gets in on the fun sometimes.  In fact he started his own blog, a spin-off of mine - - www.SoIMarriedACraftBlogger.com .

Contributors - I now have monthly contributors on my blog.  Learn all about them here: Sugar Bee Contributors

Instead of deleting my old "about me" write up, I left it on here in case it gave you any more insight into who I am - so here it is - enjoy!!

Just a quick overview of me - wow!  I guess "homemaker" is a good starting point.  I have 4 amazing kids, ranging in age from 1 to 7 years old.  I am lucky enough to be able to stay home and love every (well, maybe not "every") minute of it.  I graduated with my degree in Sociology and even worked for a few years, but staying home is the perfect place for me.
I've always loved crafts and sewing.  I grew up sewing my own summer shorts and outfits and crosstitching and making friendship bracelets and all that fun.  I think my crafty side goes in waves, so it's currently in a big upturn - my kids are getting older it gives me more moments during the day to sneak in a project or two.  I do like to keep it simple so generally my projects can be done in during naptimes or a few evenings.  If it's too involved it gets dropped pretty quickly.  My latest crafty hobby is photography, but I have a lot to learn in that venue.
I've been married for 9 years and it gets better every day.  My husband is so good to put up with all my unfinished projects and grand ideas.  He funds my splurges on fabric.  He even took my sewing machine apart for me to give it a good clean and oil.
